The Magic House is located in Kirkwood, MO at the intersection of Kirkwood Rd and Woodbine Rd. It is a children’s museum that engages children of all ages with fun activities and educational experiences not seen anywhere else in the St. Louis area. Its goal is to engage children with a hands on experience to pique curiosity, enhance creativity, and instill problem solving skills so they can grow up with life skills they can use in their future as adults.
The Magic House opened to the public in 1979 in a 5,500 square foot Victorian mansion as the first totally participatory museum exclusively for children. Over the year the Magic House has grown from a small, local museum to a nationally recognized attraction that now has over 55,000 square feet of space. It hosts many events year-round including weddings, birthday parties, school field trips and larger events. Over 60,000 students each year visit the Magic House for curriculum rich field trips from local schools in the St. Louis region.

When you leave City of Kirkwood Performing Arts Center and head South on Taylor Ave and then turn left on Woodbine Ave and head South on Kirkwood Rd you will reach Target located at 1042 S Kirkwood Rd, Kirkwood, MO 63122.
If you leave Target and head due south on Kirkwood Rd you will reach Twisted Tree Steakhouse located at 10701 Watson Rd, St. Louis, MO 63127.
When you leave Twisted Tree Steakhouse and head due south on Lindbergh Blvd you will reach Sunset Hills Spine and Joint Center located at 4434 S Lindbergh Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63127.
