Laumeier Sculpture Park
The Laumeier Sculpture Park is a 105-acre open-air museum, located at 12580 Rott Rd, Sappington, MO. This museum has more than 60 outdoor sculptures and features a 1.4-mile walking trail and educational programs for visitors of all ages. The park is free and open to the public year-round. It serves more than 300,000 visitors annually. It also hosts a popular art fair each May, a fall festival in October, and a winter solstice celebration in December. Admission is free, and you can explore the art on display during these events. The Laumeier Sculpture Center is open to the public Monday through Friday from 8am to thirty minutes after sunset.
While the Laumeier Sculpture Park is a great place to take the kids, you can also see some wildlife. The Western Ratsnake, also known as the Black Snake, is one of the largest snakes in Missouri. It is a nonvenomous hunter, and it eats rodents, small rabbits, bats, and birds and their eggs. You can even take your dog to the park and enjoy a picnic there!
